Current IIS-CED-Workshop

Dear Colleagues,

the organising committee is pleased to inform you that the 23rd Workshop of the IIS-CED at Bad Soden will be held on September 7-8, 2017.

The workshop will continue to cover the synthesis and applications of isotopes and isotopically labelled compounds. New methods in synthetic organic chemistry relevant to isotopic labelling, applications of compounds labelled with radionuclides and stable isotopes, PET chemistry, new trends in analytical techniques, radioactive material’s storage management and waste disposal will be in the focus of the meeting.

By established tradition, an analytical pre-workshop starting on Thursday morning (September 7) will be organised by Dr. Martin Sandvoss. Detailed information regarding the programme can be found here: [Programme 2017].

We are happy to announce that the workshop will take place in the H+ (former Ramada Treff) Hotel located in Bad Soden, Germany, near Frankfurt. The organising committee would like to encourage everybody to actively participate at the Bad Soden workshop and invites all colleagues working in the field of synthesis and applications of isotopes and isotopically labelled compounds to present their work in oral presentations or posters.

It is a great pleasure for us to announce that Prof. Tobias Ritter, Director at the Max-Planck-Institut für Kohlenforschung, Mülheim and Visiting Professor at Harvard University and Prof. Thorsten Bach, Technische Universitaet Muenchen will give the plenary lectures at the workshop. Professor Ritter is known, among other things, for his outstanding contributions in the field of fluorination chemistry. The research activities of Professor Bach are focused on new catalytic methods especially photochemical techniques.

Additionally we would like to address the possibility to present new trends, technologies and developments in our field of interest at the industrial exhibition of the workshop.

Best regards to you all,
the organising committee

Dieter Muri, Thorsten Poethko, Dietrich Seidel
